Over a century ago, Japanese immigrants settled in Peru and merged their reverence for craft with Peru's bold flavors — giving birth to Nikkei cuisine.
What's in the Name
Misti is the volcano that rises over southern Peru — ancient, elemental, alive with heat and origin. Maki is the Japanese word for the roll that demands stillness, focus, and an unhurried hand. Together, they say everything about what we are.
